Energy Singularity’s HH70 Tokamak was featured on CCTV “News Broadcast”, with Shanghai Superconductor supplying all high-temperature superconducting tapes

Recently, CCTV’s “News Broadcast” featured a report on the Honghuang-70 high-temperature superconducting tokamak device developed and constructed by Energy Singularity in a special report titled “Frontline Research: Accelerating the Formation of New Quality Productive Forces, Shanghai Seizes the High Ground of Future Industrial Development.”
Designed, researched, and constructed by Energy Singularity, the entire magnetic system of the HH70 is made using high-temperature superconducting materials. It is the world’s first fully high-temperature superconducting tokamak device and is a groundbreaking achievement as the first such device to be developed and constructed by a commercial entitye. As a core material supplier for Energy Singularity, Shanghai Superconductor has provided all the high-performance HTS tapes required for the magnet system of the HH70 device.
For a long time, Energy Singularity and Shanghai Superconductor have forged a strategic partnership and jointly developed a comprehensive material supply and quality inspection system that meets the needs of nuclear fusion applications. Relying on its professional expertise and supply capacity in superconducting materials, Shanghai Superconductor has successfully achieved stable, large-scale production and supply of superconducting tapes, providing cirtical material support for the successful development and construction of HH70.
